Enlightening Educators

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil." - Ephesians 6:10-11

Prayer request: Since I am one of the most unexperienced on the trip (being only a J2) and this being my first mission trip, I would just ask for strength and guidance to navigate through unknown territory medically, culturally, and relationally. I pray for confidence in my strengths and humility in my weaknesses.

"For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control." - 2 Timothy 1:7

My prayer: “Lord, Please give my team and me the humbleness and love needed for this mission trip. Please help us grown in our faith and may our actions show Your love to those we care for, and keep us safe and healthy going to and coming back from Zambia. Amen.”

Carley Newman, Senior Nursing Major
"Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among the people."
- I Chronicles 16:23-24

My prayer is that the people in Zambia would see the grace and glory of the Lord through each of us and the work we are doing there. Prayers that throughout the entirety of the trip we would never stop singing His praises for the opportunity to serve Him with the gifts He has given us.

Shiloh
Shiloh Sziy, Senior Nursing Major
"Then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others."
- Philippians 2:2-4

I'd ask for prayers for safe travels on our journey and for our group to be able to work together using our individual strengths to serve the community.

"Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us." - Ephesians 3:20

My prayer is that the Lord would open our hearts to see His people and do the work He has set before us! That He would do above and beyond all we could imagine in us and through us during this trip!
